NOTE: Please ensure to have a survey carried out by a Gas Safe Register registered gas installer to check and certify the compatibility of your chimney or flue with this fire before making any purchase to avoid disappointment. This product does not require a hearth on the floor providing the product is installed up in the wall with a minimum height from floor level as detailed in the instructions. The 5" & 7" gather hood options are available if you are connecting to a prefabricated flue or in instances where the product is being installed into an open chimney without a liner, which will also help to minimise heat loss and soot / debris falls onto the fire. Please note that whilst soot deposits on a gas fire are quite normal and to be expected, they will be more visible on a pebble or log fuel effect. Similarly you may experience discolouration on the Chrome curved fireback behind the fire which will vary in degree dependant on the flue pull and other local conditions, which again is quite normal and to be expected. The Crystal Fires battery operated remote control option allows the flame height to vary between high and low from your armchair once the pilot has been ignited / lit manually. It is recommended that this fire should not be used as a sole source of heat rather as a secondary source in conjunction with central heating.
